Reading Must Do/Can Do Activities

Each day we practise being independent learners.  We have 2 Must Do Activities - reading our Browsing Boxes and completing finger exercises.  We have to manage our time and make sure we do these within our reading time.  We are still learning how to do this.  Some of us try and do them first so they are out of the way.  Some of us are doing them at the start of lunchtime!!
Check out who was a focused learner during Reading Time last week.
Shanyn is doing Browsing Box reading.
Tyrone is doing Browsing Box reading.
Jerry is doing Browsing Box reading.
Zak is finding letters to make his high frequency words.
Danial is working to complete a puzzle.  This helps us to learn how to visually check for clues.
This group of students is talking about the positions of people in the house.  This helps us to learn vocabulary off each other and to learn how to work together.
Emmett is using a reading phone while he is reading our little books.  The little books have alphabet sounds and pictures of items that start with that sound.  A reading phone means that we talk quietly as the pipes help us to hear what we are saying.
