Swimming Sports

On Friday we held our Year 1-3 swimming sports at Jellie Park.  Here are some of our photos of the Piwakawaka children participating in their events and having fun in the water.  We were so proud of everyone who gave it their best and enjoyed themselves.

  

Bucket Filling

Today at our Hui we read the Bucket Filling story so we could all think of different ways that we can fill each others buckets.  One thing that the children decided was that if they saw someone sitting on the Friendship Seat outside the yellow room they could go and ask them to play.

Shanyn and Hetali were great actresses and showed everyone how by doing this one kind action you can make people smile.  They found out that this fills both peoples buckets and you can tell by the smiles that they show.

We look forward to seeing more smiles as our children develop their skills to be bucket fillers not dippers.

 

Assembly Star

Annabelle was our first assembly certificate star for 2016.  We are really proud of Annabelle for the way she has started back at school this year and is trying her best to show integrity.  Annabelle has been using her listening ears and showing all our new children how to give five on the carpet.  Ka pai Annabelle!
