Swimming Sports
On Friday we held our Year 1-3 swimming sports at Jellie Park. Here are some of our photos of the Piwakawaka children participating in their events and having fun in the water. We were so proud of everyone who gave it their best and enjoyed themselves.
Great morning helpers
Mrs Ibell and Miss Browne needed some brave helpers. Much braver than they are. Cyrus came to our rescue when we found a tiny tadpole, that was looking more like a frog, had escaped from our tank. He helped us to get it into the net and then outside to the bath. It was not a problem for him to pick it up and take it to where it needed to be. Cyrus showed tolerance towards Mrs Ibell and Miss Browne and didn't comment that they weren't able to touch the frog. He also showed compassion in taking it to the bath outside and making sure it was safe with the netting over the top. Thanks Cyrus for your help!
Cyrus, Ollie and Caleb all working together to put the netting back over the bath to keep the birds from eating the frogs.
