Bee hives and Tadpoles

On Friday, Mr Bateman was the 'Bee man'.  He showed us the inside parts of the bee hive.  He was very brave to go so close to the bee hive and to open it up.  He told us lots of information about where the bees fly, how the queen does her job, how the bees make the honey and how they work very hard to make the hexagonal waxy shapes inside the frames.  It was super interesting and we look forward to being able to try some honey when the hive is opened again after the bees have had a chance to make lots of honey.
We also checked out where our tadpoles are living now that they are becoming frogs.
